With Alberta’s Self-Employed Farmer Stream program you can get a residence permit if you have experience of managing a farm and want to set up or acquire a farm in Alberta.

General requirements for an applicant:

The program is for those entrepreneurs who want to open a business in the sparsely populated regions of the province.

General requirements for an applicant:

  • Minimum personal net – CAD$300,000
  • Running a business and/or having minimum 3 years work experience as an entrepreneur or minimum 4 years work experience as a senior manager over the past 5 years
  • Owning at least 51% of the business in question

British Columbia Strategic Projects is a program for employees of foreign companies which are willing to open a new brand business in the province.

General requirements for an applicant:

  • Minimum investment fund – CAD$500,000
  • Business Development Agreement with a province
  • Interview with a program representative for all key employees
  • For each key employee’s work place there should be provided 3 work places for Canadian citizens.

Quebec Investors is a program for investors who are ready to make secured investments in Quebec financial institutions for 5 years.

Application requirements:

  • Minimum personal net – CAD$1,600,000
  • Minimum investment fund – CAD$800,000 (or CAD$140,000 of personal funds, other Quebec banks are ready to provide a loan)
  • Management working experience
