Antigua and Barbuda offers the following Citizenship by Investment options: the National Development Fund (NDF), reals estate, business.
Recently the island country has come up with a new investment option for its citizenship applicants. The University of the West Indies Fund (UWI) scheme was devised for financing UWI’s fourth landed campus.
Applicants to the Citizenship by Investment Programme will be required to make an investment of US$ 150,000 for a family of six or more. The scheme is aimed to attract large families with the minimum number of persons per application established as 6.
The option will entitle one member of the family to a one-year scholarship at the University of the West Indies.
Due diligence fees are paid upon submission of the application. Once the approval is received, the applicant is required to pay the passport fees and the contribution to the Government Special Fund within a 30-day period.
After that, the main applicant and their family members will be granted a certificate of registration of Citizenship. It will be submitted to the Passport Office for processing with the applicant’s application and any accompanying documentation. Upon completion, your authorized agent or representative will forward your Passports and Citizenship Certificate document to you.
You will be required to take the oath or affirmation of allegiance. You can do this either the first time you visit Antigua and Barbuda in the status of a citizen or you can go to the nearest Embassy, High Commission or Consular Office.
