Grenada Citizenship Acquisition Process

— The applicant must have a clean criminal record and a legitimate source of funds.

— No age limit for parents and grandparents.
— Parents and grandparents below the age of 55 can be granted citizenship with no requirement to prove financial dependency.

4. Children, including dependent children up to the age of 30
— Adult children between 18 and 30 years of age no longer need to be enrolled at an institution of higher learning.
— Newborn children of the main applicant, within 12 months of citizenship being granted, will also qualify as dependents.

5. Unmarried siblings, with no children, of the main applicant and spouse.
— Grenada CBI is only the second passport program to allow the inclusion of siblings.

Obtain Grenadian citizenship either through a government donation, starting from $150,000, or by investing in government approved real estate from $220,000. The property must be kept for at least three years following the granting of citizenship.

— Option 1 $150,000 – Donation to the government fund.

— Option 2 $220,000 – Investment in designated real estate.
Investment period — 3 years

Experienced citizenship advisers will collect and check all the documents for compliance and ensure all requirements are met.

Once all your original documents are collected and sent to us, citizenship specialists will review your file and prepare it for submission. The complete file will be submitted to the Government via an authorised local agent, as required by law.

Each application is vetted by the Government through a thorough due diligence background check, during which time submitted information is examined and verified. There is currently no interview requirement.

Once the application is reviewed by the Government and the decision is made, the applicant will be issued a letter advising of the decision. This letter will be forwarded to you.

Once your application has been approved, you will be required to complete your investment (non-refundable contribution or purchase price of the property).

Upon completion of the investment your citizenship certificate will be issued, and your passport application submitted on your behalf. No visit to Grenada is required at this stage, your passport will be couriered to your preferred address.

Grenada citizenship by investment

Currently Grenada offers a competitive opportunity to obtain citizenship by investment. With a Grenada passport you will get a visa-free entry to the most countries of the world. Here they are: the countries of the Schengen area, Great Britain, Ireland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Sweden, China and South Korea. The Grenada passport is the only document that allows you to have visa-free travel to China where other Caribbean passports do not have this permission. Grenada citizenship provides easier businesses immigration to the United States.

The Grenada citizenship program has started in may 2013. Under the Grenada legislation system, the investor receives full citizenship with the right to vote and be elected. Grenada citizenship for investment cannot be obtained by persons who have a criminal record, along with those who do not pass due diligence checks (source of funds and business environment verification)

There are two investment options under Grenada law system:

Real estate investment amounting to at least 350,000 USD.

– real estate purchased for applying for citizenship cannot be sold for 4 years.

– in addition to the real estate cost,  the investor has to transfer non-refundable 50,000 USD in the form of state fees and taxes. This amount is paid if the family has no more than four people (the investor and three dependent family members). For an additional family member (more than four people) is charged extra fees — 25,000 USD.

– this donation amount is for a single investor. If the family consists from more than four people, the amount of donations — 200,000 USD. Any additional family member of more than four people will have to donate 25,000 USD.

– Due diligence fees is a non-refundable fee, that is paid for reliability verification procedure. Main applicant – 5,000 USD, spouse or child over 18 years – 5,000 USD, child aged from 12 to 17 years – 2,000 USD.

Investor may include his or her children under the age of 29 years and the applicant’s parents over the age of 55 years into the citizenship application.

Grenada citizenship advantages are that the application for citizenship can include investor adult children and parents without additional payments, as well as the fast process of registration which is 2-4 months.
