If you have a regular and solid income and you want to get a second citizenship, to buy real estate or just to live in Belgium, as well as to move freely across the EU countries, then a Belgian residence permit card is what you need.
Residence permit in Belgium is issued by the Federal Public Service Foreign Affairs at the place of the applicant’s registration. It allows a non-EU citizen to live in Belgium 365 consecutive days a year.
A residence permit is issued for one year with an option to extend. After 5 years, you become eligible to apply for a permanent residence permit and afterwards for a citizenship.
